I dont feed at all really. There are maybe 5 amanos in this tank at the moment.. I drop in a half algae wafer ever week or whenever I remember to.

Ive been seeing small white egg looking things stuck on the glass that I am guessing are eggs that have been carried...

I wouldn't worry about it in your diffuser, but keep an eye out for it going down the airline tubing and into your regulator.

my gf's goldfish tank had a normal desk lamp with a everyday bulb in it and there was algae growing the week...

thats where your problem is. even with good reflectors, you're probably getting ~50 par.
although people have grown hc in about 40 par, it will do much better in higher light (100). it is trickier...

Can't say for sure unless you test it somehow. I never tested for any co2 leaks, but I zip tied all my airline connections so I wasn't worried.

I don't see a reason to use an air pump in a co2 system. Take the pump out and use some sort of air stone to diffuse it. I haven't used diy co2 before, but your air pump will be causing so much...
