Maybe go with a 6500k and a 10000k bulb. The 10k bulbs really bring out the blues and iridescence in the fish as well as some good plant growth too.

No need for adapters. Just change out the cga 540 nut and nipple for a cga 320. Cost less than $10 and takes 2 minutes and a wrench.
