filter suggestions for mini bow

I have a 2.5 gallon mini bow tank for my betta and shrimp. I'm loving the tank but I'm having issues with the filter.

I was able to baffle it with a prefilter sponge that my shrimp love grazing...

I recommend you catch at least one show, especially if you are staying in time square. They can be pricey but it is possible to see a show for less, just avoid the big popular shows of the moment...

A betta could easily be kept in a 2.5 gallon. But depending on the fish he might not get along with your shrimp.
