It wasn't stored. It was in use. The tank sprung a slow leak so I broke down the tank,removed the substrate.

That's true? But is blue light at supposed moonlight intensity enough drive photosynthesis beyond the normal photoperiod? This is a planted tank forum not a fish tank forum.

First keep this always in mind. Sunlight always has a CRI of 100. It has that value before sunrise, at sunrise- sunset... It's easier to match sunlight by artificial means at either end of the day...

Try for a K temp in the 5500K <6000K range. That is the K temperature of tropical and temperate sunlight.
