I've always seemed to end up using a 10,000k + powerglow/plantgrow combo.

If you've already tried a pinkish bulb and didn't like it, I'd say try a 10,000k bulb with your 6700 as oldpunk suggests.

I've used Ac20's quite a bit on 10g tanks. They do an adequate job IMO.

I just ran them stuffed with the foam inserts for the most part. Occasionally I'd add some floss when needed.
