I have the odyssea 2x54w It works great I would say medium light for sure. You can spend a little more and buy the 4 bulb odyssea if you would ever want to go saltwater or high tech

clamp on light and cfl 6500k works wonders is on the higher side but mine is placed about 6 inches above the water and grows like crazy. Zoo med makes a lamp holder the double side tape to the back...
