However, it doesn't consider planted tanks. Regardless, over filtration and keeping up with your water changes are the key imo.

You didn't mention why you couldn't use the 100 gallon. If it was the 6' length, what space do you have to work with? Either way, smallest I'd recommend is a 40 gallon breeder for aquascaping...

Might look nicer if you used a camera that takes better photos. No insult intended. My camera sucks too. Tank looks good though. Will look great once everything fills in.

I was in the same position a year ago. It was the Petco $1/gallon sale and I was left deciding between a 40B & 55 gallon. I actually had both of them in the cart and rolling to my car at one point....

Centerpiece fish is one I would recommend. Recommend gourami over german ram if you're new to the hobby. The gourami will also bring some activity to the top if you go with a school of cories.
