will bromeliads grow in rock with water about an inch below the rock? It would basically be grown hydroponically I guess. I don't want to kill one.

Thanks! Well I know that it is a bristlenose, that was the first thing I noticed when I got it. It had loads of little hairs on its nose.

Personally, I wouldn't just pour hot water on them. I would place them in the oven at around 215-220 degrees with the door cracked to let moisture out. Cook for around an hour and be sure to stay...
