Did you collect the fish or buy it in a store? Pirate perch are not common in aquarium stores, so if you bought it in an aquarium or other pet store that would essentially rule out pirate perch...

The Amazon puffer is freshwater, but puffers in general just don't mix well with other fish...amazons are not nearly as nasty as other freshwater puffers, but they are still probable fin nippers.

Can't see why the badis would be a problem even in a group...your main concern would be getting them food. A school of danios might devour all the food before the Darios can even consider eating it.
