I agree with laura... just play around with your setup and you'll eventually know what your tank wants, make sure that you have effective reflectors also... i would even suggest cramming your tank...

you got it the other way around, plants bubble during the day when the lights are on and they produce 02, but at night they consume 02.

i boiled mine in a large steel basin for about 3 hours then let it sit in a bucket for a week with aeration and filter with AC.. it has greatly reduced the leaching but some traces are still left.....

IMO its more practical to swap and just use a regular steel tank so you won't worry on maintaining your personal tank. I got my tank for $100 and its a 20 pounder.
