5g is to small for neons. You need at least 8 fish for them to start feeling comfortable and thats way to many for a 5g. Id switch to a betta or a badis imo.

Wow im really surprised that no one here knows how to test rocks. Its easy, pour vinegar on it, if it fizzes you cant use it, if it doesn't, its fine. Its as simple as that. No fizz, clean them...

Just did some work on it today. Picked up some tropical plants from walmart (they had cheap aluminium plants!) and added more light, I don't know if these will adapt to the riparium...
