I am looking for suggestions for floating plants and other plants that I can anchor to wood. All the wood that I have in the tank is real FYI.
We have a 44 gal (with a mating pair of cichlids)...

The bottom layer is about 2 1/2 florite, the top layer is close to 2 inches, so maybe 4 1/2 inches. I read the lighting articles and it's all like blah blah to me I just haven't been able to make...

I just set up a new tank, it is a 44 gal corner/5 side hex. I used a florite substrate with silicas sand layered on top of it.
I think my subsrtate may be a little too deep, so I'm not sure if...

I forgot to ask if there were any good places that I can order plants online. The plant selection in and near my area is obviously pittiful. All have snails, are half dead, or are non-aquatic plants...

I have a 70 gal aquarium with 6 goldfish in it and we have converted it entirely to live plants. I have 2 decorations in it that have aeration stones .The tank is not heated but stays around 70 F....
