Peacock/Spiky Moss will never attach. One of the good things about Peacock/Spiky Moss is that it isn't as sensitive to being tied down too thick as some of the others are.

More media = more bacteria/more biological filtration and therefore will "filter" a bigger tank. Planted tanks don't really need a lot of bio filtration, but non-planted tanks do.

I think everyone's blowing temperature out of proportion. It's really only a problem for the people in Singapore, and since it's so hot over there, since a lot of moss info comes from them people...

I started with reefs, and I think that hardly any reefers pay any attention to scpaing. Most reefs look just like piles of rocks. I think it really helps to carry over planted tank scaping skills...

Any updates? I set up a non-CO2 tank a little while ago, and becuase of this thread I went with the 24" Coralife T5. I can't believe how well the plants are doing for non-CO2. Thanks for posting....

I read about them on the reef forums and the mesh tops are supposed to let more light in and keep the fish in the tank better than the eggcrate you are referring to.

I think you would be better off running just two of those bulbs, especially with your plant choices. Less algae, less electricity, less heat, and all of those plants will have enough light.
