cyperus helferi wouldn't need to be emersed but they are both big plants.

helferi specifically might be a high tech only kind of plant I'm not 100% sure.

how often are you doing water changes? chances are its that the s repens is being effected first but if left alone all your plants will start having some issues

Leopard ctnepoma would be a nice idea. African knife as well. Ghost knife grows slow sure but gets too big tbh.

What kind of sword is it? It's got some thin leafs for a sword and I think it might be something else.

Add the tabs, your plants need nutrients and contrary to popular belief eco complete doesn't have any in it from the start...it just retains nutrients rather well once you've been dosing.

Its not until you're hitting 86+ for weeks on end that I notice issues.

This summer has been SO FREAKIN' HOT and my plants are getting really ratty because of it this past few weeks *sigh*

Does well for me, I've been selling some all summer. I recently moved it up front a little and growth has gone down some sadly but it's still a very sturdy and hardy plant.

I find certain plants I have melt in higher temps.

It is also possible your mermaid weed was emersed grown and combined with the heat caused stem melting.
