I recently bought the one bulb Catalina light and am very happy with it. I have it sitting directly on the lid of my 29. In my opinion, it's a great value for money. I have pressurized CO2, and it's...

A lot of people seem to have problems keeping consistent bubble counts with the Milwaukee. I haven't had to adjust mine after the initial setup. You may want to look into building a reactor for...

I think the Aqueon one has a metal adapter that threads onto the sink. At least mine does. I bought it sometime last year. Maybe they used to come plastic, but now are metal?

What light are you using? Have a link to where you got it? I've been trying to figure out how to light my 2.5g and you might have my answer.

The only thing I could get mine to eat was romaine lettuce. I didn't blanch it or anything, just washed a leaf and dropped it in. Once they found it, they left the glass alone for about 2 days. After...

The 14 watt bulbs are 24" long, and the 18 watt ones are 30" long. Both of them are T5NO. I have the 2x 18 watt fixture sitting right on the glass of my 29 gallon. I like it a lot. Petsmart carries...

Would a fine mesh of some kind go over the siphon tube and keep the shrimps out? Like maybe pantyhose or something similar and cheap?

I think getting tanks set up qualifies as entertainment. I could think of far worse things to do with that part of the money.

And a +1 for a powerhead + sponge filter for the tank. That's a good...

From what I understand, not unless you put a divider in the tank to keep him away from the girls. Everything I've seen on sorority tanks suggests at minimum 5-6 females should be kept together, and...

I used a 36" in a pinch when I had bulbs on order for my 30" lights. It worked well and made the room brighter. I don't recall it being too bright, but I only used it for a week.

I have a 50' aqueon and love it. Maybe that's because any water changer that works is 100x better than carrying buckets across the house. The sink adapter is brass, not plastic. Maybe they changed...
