If its still alive after a couple of hours, your water parameters are fine. It will survive. Plecos tend to hide and forage for food. Try to have some driftwood for them to chew on

+1 on the bottoms. You are going to want to put bottoms on so you can remove the fry when the hatch. Great job though.

I have all sorts of caves for them in the pond but they just make their own...
