I broke out the camera tonight as a study break to try and get some pictures of the inhabitants of one of my tanks. I have been trying to get a really nice pic of my CPDs for a little while now -...

Any progress on your tank? I did something similar - but only did biotope with fauna - not flora. Rosy loaches, CPDs - but instead of M. rubescens - I did Microdevario nanus. I have thought about...

I believe they are aphids. I got some on some floaters (Salvinia and RRF) that I got from Aquabid. They can get to really high numbers - and some floaters seem to suffer some damage from them...

Thanks for the advice TickleMyElmo. I will bring back the aperture next go round.

My body is a D80. And as for autofocus - I generally don't use it when I shoot macro. One of the drawbacks of...

Warm water stems?

I am having trouble keeping stems from melting in the back corner of my nano tank surrounding the submerged heater (25W archeae mini). The tank water temp is set at 72F, so the tank isn't too hot -...

For the flash, I used a SBR-200 aimed down into the tank and fired from my SU-800 controller.

Early attempts at aquatic photography - new pics added 5-11-13

I have a fugeray (20") over my 10g. I am going to give a 16" Fugeray a shot over my 6g - although I am probably going to have to elevate it.
