I just checked and the nitrate is very low. Probably less then 5ppm. I was trying to get my hand on a bottle of SeaChem's Nitrogen but my LFS didn't have it. I'll have to look online. :)

THis stuff keeps appearing at an extrodinary rate! Its like a slime-sheet of greenish-black stuff that covers my plants and substrate. However, it can be easily removed just by gingerly peeling it...

They are, in fact, the same fish. Their common names include Blue Ram, German Rams, and many more. The fish that most resemble the Blue Ram is the Bolivian Ram. Which is less colorful but hardier....

I think the 3" is about their mature size anyways :)

White cottony growth on Hagen Co2 Ladder Output?

I get this cotonny material that rapidly builds up inside the output nozzle. It gets to a point that the bubble isn't directed towards the ladder because of the stuff. I have to clean it out...

I've had no problems with my Hagen for 3 weeks...

I've had no problems with my Hagen for 3 weeks now. The only blemish is the wierd stuff growing in the bubble output nozzle. The stuff builds up pretty fast !
