I use 2 Cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon to get 1-2bps for 2 weeks, but it starts off like 3-5 bps for a couple of hours.

u don't. plants take care of most of the animal waste. if you have lots of food at the bottom u are feeding too much and u can use a small tube with light siphoning for excess food, but not a gravel...

Are you planning to use in-line heater or inline co2 reactor? if so you should get a 2217, I guess 2215 would suffice.
I use a 2215 with mentioned above for a 11.4g tank. Adding more stuff inline...

2215 too strong for a moderately planted Mr Aqua 11gal? What if there was a inline heater and co2 reactor?

Will it be enough flow with a 2213 and the inline heater and reactor?
