Getting Dwarf Hairgrass To Carpet

Two watts of light per gallon is barely enough to get dwarf hairgrass to carpet. At least 3 watts per gallon is good, and four watts per gallon is even better, as it will allow for much faster...

Re: Eheim Classic Series

I agree. The Eheim Classic filters are the best of the Eheim lineup. They are the least expensive and most reliable. Eheim's more expensive filters are very gimmicky and prone to fail over time. ...

Using Fluval Plant Or Shrimp Stratum For A Planted Aquarium

The plant and shrimp stratums sold by Fluval are made of the same material, however, I believe that the shrimp stratum is a bit larger, so that it can be used with various types of dwarf shrimp.

I use both Eheim 2211s and 2213s on my planted aquaria. I have four 2211s on tanks ranging from 7.5 to 13.3 gallons, and they work quite well.

In fact, in my opinion, the 2211 could easily filter...
