Looks like hornwort IMO, but hard to tell if those are like little needle-like leaves or just very fine leaves. I'd give it a hydrogen peroxide bath (diluted of course) first before introducing into...

I kept cherries w/ harlequin rasboras as well as galaxy danios. Never noticed either going for the shrimp. Kept em for years.

My GBRs, however... they'd tear them to pieces. Sometimes they don't...

Well, it does have fat, succulent leaves. You may well be right, but time will tell ultimately. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I'm all for experimenting, and I guess we'll see how it does long-term.

Fish are very adaptable and I'd say if you're concerned about the difference of just a few degrees, I wouldn't worry about it. I kept my harlequins for years in a tank w/ out a heater. Steadiness in...

If that is indeed a sedum, sedum are succulents. Probably why it's not in the most recent pictures. Succulents need to go dry between waterings. It grows between rocks and cracks in your yard because...

IMO, I'd recommend water change every day. That dying algae is sapping oxygen from your system and can definitely affect fish and biological activity.
