2nd canister on a 4' tank...
ok so i'm putting a 2nd canister filter on my tank and i wondered if anyone has ever connected a canister to an undergravel filter...
i used to use undergravel years ago with air pumps but wondered...

as you've nothing but plants you could use...
as you've nothing but plants you could use chemical killers but i wouldn't advise it myself, i think chemicals should only be used as a last resort...

thanks for that, made me look into mag drive pumps in the uk and there is a company verdermag who do one, the vmd, which look the part and they do different voltages 12/24/110/240 and different flow...

the only concerns i can see here are the design...
the only concerns i can see here are the design of the dresser and your positioning of the tank, if you put the tank in the centre of the dresser as in the pic if the top drawer is one full length it...

black spots...
i bought this vallis from a local shop, its growing well and now spreading under the gravel and sprouting up in other places...
but the some of the new sprouts have black spots on them, nothing...

if you have an ezternal filter you could think...
if you have an ezternal filter you could think about fitting a surface skimmer to your intake which would cut some of the work out but you'd need to watch your water level so as not to filter off...
