I use powerheads in my tanks. It distributes the co2 very evenly throughout the tank. I think its the best method I have tried so far.

I diffuse co2 through a cheap Topfin power head. Hook the tubing to the venture inlet, the impeller chops it up, and the PH shoots it into the tank. Seems to work pretty well.

I would purchase new food. The nutritional value might be gone since its pretty old. Another good option for fry is Golden Pearls. You can get a very small micron size for fry.

Try spot treating it with hydrogen peroxide. It should oxidize it, and ultimately kill it. I have used peroxide for many anomalies in my tanks. It works for a lot of them:thumbsup:

I diffuse my co2 through a cheap Topfin powerhead from Petsmart. The venturi inlet is before the impeller, so the co2 is chopped up, and shot into the tank. Works very well.:thumbsup:
