It's a 29 gallon aquarium, the substrate is Red Sea Flora Base with a sand top. It's lit with just a regular single T8 - 8ish hours/day. I dose with excel and flourish.

I've had this stuff reappearing around my tank for the last couple of weeks. The python seems to get rid of most of it but a few days later it's back.

Any help? Is it an algae or something else?
