Hit up nilocg on the forum. He makes pretty packed dry fert kits. He can tailor it to your needs before shipping. You will get ten times the fertilizer for about the same price of the seachem stuff.

The only issue I could see with rainwater would be suspended solids such as car exhaust and other such things. I think if you pass it through some carbon a few times it should be fine.
