I agree. The weight is spread out over an area, not all in one spot. It's like distribution of weight like a water bed. Your stand is far sturdier than any you buy.

Gez, never thought of that. I keep my tanks what's recommended for my fish, 78 degrees.

My pH is always 7.6 and my phosphates tend to run high right from the tap, like 2.
