Just an update. I started dosing everything again including N and brought my N up to 10 or so, skipped a couple of water changes, and the algae that had plagued me completely disappeared.

I dosed everything except N. I used to have a lot more fish than I now have - moved most of them to a bigger tank and now all I have is one angelfish and a shoal of tetras in the 75.
