Maybe the difference is that H2O2 is applied directly to the BGA . Potassium permanganate is a general oxidizer dosed into the water column. I have to say, H2O2 sounds fun to watch. Anyway, good luck...

I see that the soil (Eco-complete) wouldn't be but I would have a problem dosing excel into a shrimp tank.
