Yeah... that is not acceptable. It looks like whoever assembled the tank forgot to run a line of silicone between the glass. When you're putting these together, you never want glass to touch glass....

The only way I know that Ca and Mg will precipitate out is if your ionic balance of your water is WAY off. It won't last forever since plants do absorb it, but it should be much more stable in water...

I don't see how.

Plants prefer ammonia over nitrate/nitrite as their source of nitrogen and should readily absorb it. I don't see how adding other things plants need would impair that function.....

I would try upping the working pressure a bit more first. I wouldn't go much past 50 though or you risk rupturing your CO2 line if it is a pressure problem. If that fails, I would contact GLA

I'm not up on the math behind it. Water flow is the pivotal bit of the equation. With a high flow filter, you're going to need a way to slow it down inside the reactor without impacting your flow...
