A friend of mine accidentally drop a BT-9 bottle (all most full) into his 100G CRS tank. He lost the whole 1000+ shrimps colony plus all the snails. :/

It will keep your tank temp low and very stable. Just set it at 72.

You will do just fine with a undergravel filter and 1-2 sponge filters. That's a low cost setup for breeding TB....
