i would say yes and make sure you have it...

i would say yes and make sure you have it elevated above the take i have 2 150 watt's and have them 10" off the surface of the water and i am seeing a more growth than i have ever seen.

if it is a glass 10 gallon the best thing you can...

if it is a glass 10 gallon the best thing you can use is a good old fashion straight edged razor blade. it should take all the gunk off.
