Thanks for the thoughts,
I thought about draping something over the top
so it won't collect on the surface. So I am going to
do a water change, collect the stuff and try my
cover and see it...

thanks for the thoughts. No this stuff is not
in the water column, just on the surface,
so it must very light and buoyant, mixed with
air, is my guess. It could be white paint coming

What's in the water

Ok, I got some pics. This stuff is starting
to annoy me. I am guessing if it is maybe the
media in my eheim starting to break
down also. It's the bio media little pellets.
Any thoughts and how...

I have this film on the surface of my planted tank.
It is filled with white specs, that look like salt was
sprinkled in the water. I need to know what to do.
I have a eheim pro, and a hbo...

Why not this

I am fond of Iwagumi, and have played with
it a little on my own. I thought I would play
with your layouts. This is what I came up with.
The best of 1 2 and 3!

Oh No

Oh no, it looks like I may have cacked the
output on my eheim filter top where the motor housing is.
I tightened the clamp to hard and it cracked the output.
I used a pair of pliers on it to...

Wierd Science

That's interesting. I would think that a vibrating noise
would be somewhat long and different than a bell noise.
The pitch on this bell noise is great. I'll give the tips
a try.

Bell noise

Hello,

Has anyone ever heard a bell noise from their HOB filter?
I have a small Aquaclear filter in my twenty gallon tank.
For the strangest reason it gives off a bell noise that drives
me...

One more

One more,

This is my willisii lucens. I discovered that it grows flat and
extended to the substrate in high light. Different than
growing tall in low light. I would like to know how to do
that...

Pics

I don't know if this couldn't be second generation HC.
But I took a pic. If it is Micranthemum Micromoides,
it is growing as a carpet now. I am going to have to
hedge it, otherwise it will grow...

Best Scapes led, Thread

I wanted to give this a go and see what happens.
I thought about having a Thread where the people with
aged tanks of more than a year would show
and tell. Pics are necessary.

Also mention...

Go or slow for my Iwagumi

Should I get a schooling fish that show
some movement for my Iwagumi, or
some slowness and peace and get some
shoaling fish. Need opinions!

Thanks!

My old school

Hey day!

I need some opinions on type of fish for
my Iwagumi. Should I go with a schooling
fish like rummy nose or rasboras. Or go
with some white clouds, a shoaling fish.
I am wondering about...

Square One

Hi!

I think the second setup of the right side is the best.
The angle of the rock compliments the angle of the
big rock on the left so they look like they are
related.

Tumbling down

IMO the rocks are not natural while having them stand
straight up. Mountains move and rocks move all the time
and they are hardly ever straight up. I would move the
rocks around in different...

Hc browning

I think you'd be much better off if you flood.
I did a dsm and my hc grew in well. Then
I flooded the tank and all the growth melted.
I had to replant and it is growing in slowly.
The transition...

Contrasting colors

This is just an IMHO.
I think you are going to need a lot of stem plants
to offset the blue background. This tank calls for a
Dutch style setup. Blue is very bright and is a contrasting
color to...

First Choice

I think you should stick with the first one. You need to count
your stones. Iwagumi is created with an odd number
of stones, not even.
