The UG is just starting to lop over and expose the nicer greener side.
I suppose many get too impatient and then rip it up, when all they needed to do is wait another 2-6 weeks for it to thicken up.

I would Not recommend it at all, you will kill many things, it is a herbicide actually, but is selective at lower dosages to algae.

So you will kill all the inverts and the fish, then the plants....

I see no good reason not to incorporate hardscaping into the Dutch style personally.

Stylistically, using nice dramatic contrast between nice good sized plant groups is the part of the dutch style...

So I looked at the side view, it's not as yellow, and then looked at the older pics, also not as yellow.

The underside of the leaves reflects yellow better than the top....

I have 2 clients with serious physical disabilities, they have sumps and cannot do much to the tank for months at a time. You simply engineer over flows for the tank and sump, and automated refills....
