Low tech tank - just dump in the weeks worth of fertilizer before you go. I have 5 low tech tanks and only add ferts weekly as well. I'm just finishing up a week of vacation and travel myself.

12 hour on low light. 10 hours on the medium light tanks. No CO2 on any.

I have done 24 hrs before on a very low light tank. 80W T-12 over a 125 goldfish tank. Grew swords beautifully.

Lots of anubis in that tank. They are slow growers that don't gain much from CO2. They also do better in low light conditions. You'll need some fast growers in there to help balance the tank.

Easy answer. NO. Pleco's eat a variety of a diet that included some algae. They also will eat insects, small crustaceans, dead plant tissue, wood, and many other things depending upon the species....

You need to shim underneath the vertical braces...

You need to shim underneath the vertical braces only. These are the load bearing part of the stand. So that means the four corners, and under the braces in the front and back as needed.
