Its hard to go by just the TDS results, especially when you don't know what's actually in the water. Gh is a better parameter to know IMO, but TDS is helpful for other reasons.

I think its a case of the watched pot not boiling. If you spend time checking out your tank everyday, and then don't check it for a few days, there's gonna be a difference.

I use the Beamswork 200 on my lowlight 5.5g shrimp tank. Grows moss, crypts and my stems nicely. Try searching around on eBay and Amazon. You might get lucky with the shipping.
