Pdf's are not good swimmers. You will need to have lots of branches and rocks for them to grab onto in the water so they can get out easily. Even then drowning is always a real possibility in water...

you're right... my box says 5% VLT with 95% light blocked underneath... since I don't work with it regularly I lean toward the simpler to understand 95% light blocked :)

Either a bleach dip or h2o2 spray is common practice. Bleach use more thorough but more risky. H2o2 would be a better choice.

boiling will soften the shell and make it easier to break/breakdown.

I wouldn't boil them... just a bleach dip and flush with lots of water... then a dip in a little water with a lot of dechlor.

and they do make awesome caves... my Khuli's all chilled in some...

As I've said... the algae in the picture has been unaffected by excel (both full tank and spot treatment) as well as H2O2 spot treatments.

So, if this is infact BBA, why is this version unaffected...
