Bleed baby bleed

I am having a terrible time trying to bleed some air.
I was given a eheim professional 3 canister filter.
Wanted more flow in my 60 gallon discus tank.
I couldn't even get it primed the way eheim...

Square One

Hi!

I think the second setup of the right side is the best.
The angle of the rock compliments the angle of the
big rock on the left so they look like they are
related.

Tumbling down

IMO the rocks are not natural while having them stand
straight up. Mountains move and rocks move all the time
and they are hardly ever straight up. I would move the
rocks around in different...

Hc browning

I think you'd be much better off if you flood.
I did a dsm and my hc grew in well. Then
I flooded the tank and all the growth melted.
I had to replant and it is growing in slowly.
The transition...

Contrasting colors

This is just an IMHO.
I think you are going to need a lot of stem plants
to offset the blue background. This tank calls for a
Dutch style setup. Blue is very bright and is a contrasting
color to...

First Choice

I think you should stick with the first one. You need to count
your stones. Iwagumi is created with an odd number
of stones, not even.

Right Light

I am getting a 25 gallon cube rimless tank. Mostly going
to grow moss, anubias, and other low light plants.
I have a Fluval pcl 13 light fixture 13 watt, 6400k.
Would this be sufficient light for...

I took chad's advice and dosed with erythromycin.
Looks like it's going away. So simple. Thanks!
I will keep an eye on it though.

Hardscape

Iwagumi,

From what I have read the second rock needs to accentuate
or be a sister to the big rock. I would reverse a couple rocks.
Take the top first picture and place the small round rock on...

Yes to both.

It is a puffball blanket like algae and rubs off easily. And it
does have a earthy smell. I was reading that it might be
BGA, but it seems much thicker. I tried a blackout before...

HC not rooting

Hello,

I been attempting to grow HC. I have powder amazonia over Amazonia.
I have painstakingly tried to plant by stem. I have C02 and the lights
are on for about 8 hrs. I have DHG as well. What...

Check it out

I get a link to Practical Fishkeeping from Australia.
This months' edition has a tank designed by George Farmer.
He uses crypt willisi and crypt parva in his scape. Looks
nice. Check it out. Maybe...

Focal point

I think your first two shots of hardscape
showing the beauty of the trunk and roots
is beautiful. I think it would be nice if you
trimmed out the plants so that it shows more
of that area.

Hiding

You are covering the most important rock.
That is your main focal point. I wouldn't
cover any of the rocks with the balls.

I like the big rock and the way that you have it.
Put the big rock on the right. It will look like
the rock is leaning to the center. You need
two more rocks growing smaller than the
big one....

Contrast

I think it would look nice if you took out
some of the blyxia in the back and added
some dwarf hair grass.

IMO.

Right now you don't have a main rock. I would
try putting the left large rock upright at a slight angle,
and turn the right rocks into it.

the fallen tree look, then fine. But I...

the path for HC to spread or will the algae go...
