I would move the diffuser under the intake. I can't tell from the photo, but it looks like the Co2 wouldn't really circulate that much in the water column. I used to run Co2 directly in the HOB...

I love the 12 long! But i'm tight for space and the stand i have, which i love, is only 22 inches. The stand, btw is an old hospital nightstand on wheels with removable steel tray drawers.
