Do you have buffering soil? Are you dosing CO2? There shouldn't be an affect on pH, the only thing you should see affect on is a slight increase in TDS.

Not all planaria are pink though. Some are white, some are beige, I've seen some light gray, light pink, darker pink. Main thing is the head and eyes.
