I have, I've seen many. I live about 35 minutes from the cape so it's always very visible even of I can't actually see the launch pad. It's an amazing sight.

I've found it varies greatly from piece to piece. I've boiled some and they were done leeching after 6 months, others still leeched after a year or more. It's a gamble. Boiling definitely helps...

Thanks for all the replies. Good stuff. I checked my Nitrates and Phosphates today with my ELOS test kits and my Nitrate was 0!!! and my Phosphates were slightly higher than .5 so my theory is moot...
