I believe there are several people on the forum from SC. I've just gotten started with aquariums but have learned a lot here in a short amount of time.
|
Greer here!
|
Well I got to meet Chris today and snatch his beautiful creamsicle molly (such a sweet guy btw) and it's nice to see there's a few more people in the area.
|

I don't think they'll get individual names. I'm just going to collectively call them 'the harem' (did he have a name btw) sorry for the crappy quality but it's my camphone http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...0318090006.jpg http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...0318090008.jpg he's actually calmed down quite a bit now that he's...relieved himself |
lol, and knocked up a few new females!!! too funny! I actually always called him King Feces, cuz when I first got him he did nothing but [censored][censored][censored][censored] and they were easily twice as long as his body! lol I got my pressurized co2 and tank backgrounds on today. Did that, some plant trimming/rearranging and replanting, water changing, cleaning today. Took about 3.5 hours!! If anyone needs some dry activated yeast for a DIY setup, I have PLENTY. Also have a BUNCH of java fern plantlets and a couple small moneywort stems if anyone is interested.

we're gonna have to talk about this CO2 setup you've got. i think my DIY is dumping waay too much in and ihave no way to regulate it. i'm also getting a bunch of plants and some MTS and such hopefully by this weekend. oh, and i found out last night my corkscrew vals have runners!
And I think I'm going to call him Colby Jack cuz his colors remind me of that cheese... |
Maybe try a gang valve to regulate your co2. I dont know how your diy co2 could be overdone on a 25g. Do you have a drop checker of any type? I am using the red sea ones and they work well. Colby sounds like a good name for him.
I can't find my 2 Oto catfish today, since I did the "rescape" last night. I hope they are okay. I want to move them from my shrimp tank to the main one again dammit. Also looks like some of my Naja sp. roraima has finally grown some roots. I hope that stuff grows a lot soon. It looks soo cool! |

i've got 3 otos in the 10 and they do like to hide. one of em somehow got suck into part of the filter. i yanked him out and fully expected him to be dead but the little bugger has completely colored back up (he was real pale) and seems to be doing fine. I've got some RCS on the way. i can't wait! I looked up that Naja stuff. that's pretty nifty looking. I might have to snatch some from you if/when I get the 29 emptied and/if planted. |
I found mine. Both of them are hiding upside down on the underside of a rock in my rock pile. Can barely see them, but it's just a reliefe to know where they are and they weren't hrown out with the plants the other day...
I might be buying a bigger co2 tank. Somehow I lost over 500psi of bottle pressure today...gonna have to check for leaks... |
where'd you find the regulator for the paintball bottle? we sell em at work and do the exchanges plug my discount... can't be that expensive. i'ma have to buy you some drinks so i can pick your brain about all this stuff.

remember, I got it used from egay.
