Recipe Swap!
 
Hey all Im bored to death and don't know if this has been done here before, i love to cook and i love cooking things i haven't made before so lets do a Recipe Swap! Just Post your Favorite Recipe OR Recipes Any type,style Etc See not leaving you Vegans out! Post as many as you like! Make sure to include Good instructions, pretend the person its for has never cooked a Single thing. I will start.

Meat Balls

2 Lb Ground beef,Steak,Lamb,Pork,Or Turkey(what ever you like best)
1 Bag Boil in bag Rice
2 tablespoons Italian Seasoning
2 Cans Tomato Sauce
2 Or more bags(depends on how much you want) Cheddar Cheese(or your fav shredded cheese)
Cabbage(optional)

Instructions:

Cook Boil in bag rice according to box
If using cabbage Boil it till completely cooked.
In a large bowl Mix ground meat,Cooked rice(cool it first), and Italian Seasoning.
In a large baking pan Layer bottom of pan with cooked cabbage, Form meat mixture into Large Balls about fist sized. Cover Fist sized Balls with Tomato Sauce and top with Cheese. Cover With Tin Foil(keeps cheese from burning) Bake in over on 350 for 1 hour.Its a Meal in it self i never serve a side with it but thats up to you.

Vance's Easy Awesome Pork.

1 or 2 Packages Pork, Any type works,ribs,chops,tenderloin Pick your fav cut of pork.

2 cans Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
2 soup cans Milk

Instructions:

In a Bowl Mix the Soup,Soy sauce,and milk till completely smooth (can be done in blender to make it easier)

Put pork in baking dish or dutch oven, Pour Soup Mix over pork and Bake at 350 for an hour to an hour and a half. Serve with your favorite side i normally serve with home made mashed potatoes.


Goulash

2 Lbs Ground meat(i use beef)
1 box Elbow Pasta(or any Pasta you have on hand i have made with Spaghetti)
2 Large Cans Tomato Juice
2 cups Brown Sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Brown meat in a Frying pan and Drain Well.
Boil pasta till Almost Done
In a large Pan Mix cooked meat,Pasta,Tomato Juice, and Brown Sugar.
Bring to a Boil then reduce heat and Simmer for 10 to 15 mins.
Serve with buttered bread or rolls if you like.

Vance's Fry ya mouth chili(won me a blue ribbon at the county fair in high school) Once the judges stopped crying from how spicy it was that is lol I love HOT SPICY food!

Warning VERY VERY HOT AND SPICY!

2 lbs Ground Beef(again any ground meat will work)
3 cans Tomato Juice

2 cans Kidney Beans
4 tablespoons Chili Powder
2 heaping tablespoons Cheyenne pepper
10 jalapeno peppers
3 Habanaro Peppers
4 large Banana peppers
1/4 cup Tabasco Sauce(or other pepper sauce)
1 Large Sweet Onion
2 cans Diced Tomato's
1/2 cup Brown Sugar(optional if you like sweeter chili add it)

Instructions:Brown your Ground meat in a frying pan and Drain Well.

In a Blender Combine the Following:2 heaping tablespoons Cheyenne pepper
10 jalapeno peppers,3 Habanaro Peppers,4 large Banana peppers,1/4 cup Tabasco Sauce(or other pepper sauce) and 1 Large Sweet Onion(remove Stems but NOT SEEDS from Peppers, and cut into chunks, Cut Onion into 4 chunks. Make sure to remove papery skin from onion lol),Chili Powder, Add Enough tomato Juice to cover and Almost Fill blender. Blend on highest speed till liquid.(if you don't have a blender Skip this step and instead Dice all pepper and onion)

In a Large Pot Combine Meat,Remaining tomato Juice from 2 cans(keep one back), Liquid from blender,Kidney beans,Diced tomatoes, and brown sugar (If using it)

This next part is VERY VERY VERY important. So follow instructions here Very carefully!!!
Bring to a Boil for 3 mins ONLY then turn down to Between Medium and low, and Slow Simmer covered for 4 to 5 hours Stirring every 10 to 15 mins(add Tomato juice from reserved can to replace evaporation) its very important to keep temp low enough that it doesn't burn.
IMHO fast chili is Bad Chili!!!!

A simple one.

Asian Buffalo Wings
a bag of chicken wings
a cup of rooster asian chili sauce.
1/2 cup of vinegar
1/4 of your favorite bbq sauce (optional)
2 tablespoons of butter

instructions.
bake or fry your wings till crunchy. Heat & mix the sauce. You can do it in the microwave. And then toss with the wings.

Corn salad - makes for a great side dish for the summers months. Quick and easy.

1 15 oz Whole kernel corn (drained)
1 green pepper
1 red onion
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups Mayo
1 16 oz bag of chili corn chips

Dice onion green pepper into small pieces. Combine first 5 ingredients and chill 30 minutes to an hour. Just before serving crush up corn chips and mix with other ingredients.

Here's mine:
Savory Cheese Scones

To make approximately 16 scones
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
freshly ground pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dill weed (or to taste)
1 tablespoon chopped rosemary leaves (or to taste)
pinch cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon full dry mustard
4 ounces grated cheddar cheese (sharp)
1/2 cup butter
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 cup buttermilk

Method:
Sieve together dry ingredients.
Rub in fat.
Add milk and mix to a soft dough. Do not over-knead.
Spread into pan 3/4 inch thick and cut into triangles, or form into 2" mounds.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Makes a nice alternative to sweet pastries. Cheesy and flavorful! Serve with butter and/or cream cheese. Goes well with egg dishes.

Okay, mine is very simple but extremely good!!!!! Eat it with chips or on a baked potato. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! :icon_mrgr

Bacon & Cheese Dip
1 pkg = Ranch dressing powder mix
1 pkg = 8oz sour cream
1 cup = grated cheese
1 cup = bacon bits

On the last two ingredients, I add as much of them as I like. Mix all ingredients together then refrigerate for a bit to firm the dip. :icon_cool

I always loved carrot cake, tried many times, and could never get it fluffy. It always tasted good, but turned into a solid mass/mess. Not until much later I figured out that the sequence in which the ingredients are mixed is crucial.

Anyway, I started doing zucchini cake instead, and that one worked well. After a few years of zucchini cake I tried carrot cake again and found that the Z-cake actually tasted better.

So here is my Z-cake recipe:

Ingredients:

* 1 cup vegetable oil
* 1.5 cups sugar
* 3 eggs
* 2 tsp. vanilla (I always use pure vanilla extract)
* 2 cups flour
* 1 tsp. baking soda
* 1/2 tsp. baking powder
* 2 tsp. cinnamon
* 2 cups grated zucchini (leave skins on)
* 1 cup walnuts
* 1 cup raisins

Preparation:
Mix oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition; blend in vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and baking soda, and raisins. Add sifted dry ingredients to first mixture; alternating with grated zucchini. Fold in chopped nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2-inch pan, or multiple smaller ones. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.

One of my favourte recipes ever:
No Fuss Stroganoff

2 tbsp. butter
1 c. finely chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1-10oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
1-10oz. can cream of chicken soup (or mushroom)
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. grated medium cheddar cheese

Melt butter, add onions and saute slowly until onions are limp. Add beef
and fry until cooked. Drain and discard fat. Sprinkle flour, salt and
pepper over meat mixture and stir. Add mushrooms, cook, uncovered for 10
mins. Add soup and continue to cook for another 10 mins. Stir in sour cream
and cheese. Heat through. Can be served immediately or put in a
casserole, covered, and heated in oven.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:
1 pound dry spinach fettuccine
OR
2 pounds fresh
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro reserved for garnish
2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
2 tablespoons minced jalapeno pepper (seeds and veins may be removed)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (reserve tablespoon for saute )
1/2 cup chicken stock (preferably homemade)
2 tablespoons gold tequila
2 tablespoons freshly-squeezed lime juice
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/4 pound chicken breast, diced 3/4 inch
1/4 medium red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 medium yellow bell pepper thinly sliced
1/2 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 1/2 cup heavy cream

You can add in different veggies if you'd like. I've tried with quartered mushrooms as well as snow peas and broccoli. I get nothing but praise when I cook this.


Directions:
Prepare rapidly boiling, salted water to cook pasta; cook until al dente,8 to 10 minutes for dry pasta, approximately 3 minutes for fresh. Pasta may be cooked slightly ahead of time, rinsed and oiled and then "flashed" (reheated) in boiling water or cooked to coincide with the finishing of the sauce/topping. Cook 1/3 cup cilantro, garlic and jalapeno in 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Add stock, tequila and lime juice. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until reduced to a paste like consistency; set aside. Pour soy sauce over diced chicken; set aside for 5 minutes. Meanwhile cook onion and peppers, stirring occasionally, with remaining butter over medium heat. When the vegetables have wilted (become limp), add chicken and soy sauce; toss and add reserved tequila/lime paste and cream. Bring the sauce to a boil; boil gently until chicken is cooked through and sauce is thick (about 3 minutes). When sauce is done, toss with well-drained spinach fettuccine and reserved cilantro. Serve family style or transfer to serving dishes, evenly distributing chicken.

I can not take credit for this recipe... its a copy cat of Chicken Tequila Fettuccine from California Pizza Kitchen.

I have changed some items such as the tequila... I use Patron.. only cause I tend to think if you use cheap items you won't get as good as a result as using a higher grade item. Grilled Shrimp as an add-on works wonders too. I wouldn't use CRS in the dish though... :)
