i understand dwarf puffers are brackish but will they live in a tank with no salt?
ive seen these in planted tanks but i dont want to add any salt into my tank incase it starts to kill my aquascape.. and also will they kill my smaller community fish.. cardinals guppys etc thanks |
They aren't brackish, 100% freshwater.
I have kept them in a large shoal in a heavily planted tank and they are just beautiful. But they will nip other fishes fins, so I would recommend keeping them as the only species in the tank. Here is some good information and more links: Dwarf Puffer |
there nice fish. however i allready have a community tank so if i do i might only get a pair.. ive allways wanted something different and my LFS's are all crap and stock nothing but the same old same olds. these were a supprise to see. but i think ill keep my tetra's for a while :)
