A Brief Introduction
We at pfertz would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to the Planted Tank. This forum is a very good place for everyone to learn & share about the aquatic plant hobby, and we feel very fortunate to be a part of it.
The pfertz line of aquatic fertilizers was created to address a problem that seems to be all-too common in this hobby – the proper fertilization of plants. This seems to be the greatest source of confusion for many aquarists. Being a chemical engineer shouldn’t be a prerequisite to grow beautiful plants. You also shouldn’t need a conversion chart and calculator either.
By developing an optimally-balanced and easy to use fertilizer system, pfertz has addressed the need for a simple and effective dosing method. Dosing your aquarium is simple – one pump from each bottle, once a day for each 5 gallons of aquarium water. No need for metric-to-SAE conversions, no need for a dosing-calendar. If you can count by fives, you can grow beautiful plants. It really is that simple. By separating the macro- and micro-nutrients into separate bottles, you can also control dosing specifics to fit your particular tank’s needs.
We are glad to be a part of the Planted Tank family, and plan to be active members of the community. We will be updating our website (www.pfertz.com) frequently to include more detailed information about various aspects of the hobby as well as more specific examples of dosing-regimen modification. If you find that our website does not have the information that you are looking for, please ask! We are available via this forum, email and private message and we are always glad to answer your questions. Thank you!
