Fluval Spec V - Mopani Dreams

Just set up my new Fluval Spec V. Very cool tank, love the dimensions, build quality is nice. Unique floorplan to work with.

This is going to be a little more maintenance intensive than my 3G Picotope was. Planning on low light EI dosing, Excel usage and a little higher light. May go with a disposable CO2 setup or DIY. Space is an issue, as is wife aggro for cluttering up the kitchen. Aesthetic is #1.

Layout of the tank is going to focus on open space. May carpet the down slope. Wife likes it as is. We will see.

Fluval Spec V
Hydor Theo 25w
Current Satellite LED+
Amazonia NEW Normal/Powder
Mopani driftwood

Java fern
Anubias nana petite
Marimo
Fissidens

No stock yet. Planning on 10 Boraras briggitae and some sort of neo. Maybe blue diamonds? PFR's have been moved to the 60p.

I used clear plastic dividers inserted into the slope to try and maintain. Will see if it works!

edit -- Looks like I bought 3 medium and 2 small in Dec of 2011. I would say I have around 20-25 plants if I cut to propagate some of the larger ones.

Love it, the shape of the wood is fabulous, and really loving the nana petite on it as well. Course I may be partial to that, hehe.

New light came in. Lots of fun settings. Manual settings are very bueno as you can manually adjust the RGB and the brightness of the white LED's. Very flexible for future if I ever CO2 or carpet the tank. Replacing the java fern with trident fern when it comes in.
