Good morning,

Lets begin with the dimensions of tank, the exact dimensions are length 72 inches, width 24 inches, height 18 inches = 134.65 gallon. In this tank I would like to keep easy-medium level growing plants without the need of using CO2 because its already high maintenance already as it it because of the size of the tank.

Now my question is which brand and style exactly do you guys prefer for my tank size? Also, please if you dont mind to share your experience with the light and which website did you purchase it from. Im very open to suggestions because Im still on the planning stage.

I would ask Catalina Aquarium to make two 3 foot lights, each with 2 T5HO bulbs, in an extra wide housing so the bulbs are about 7-8 inches apart. I would hang those lights about a foot above the tank, to get good spread of the light over the whole tank. That should give you around 30-35 micromols of PAR, which is about as much light as you can use without CO2 unless you want to battle algae as a full time job. I would also use Excel with that much light.

Thank you so much Hoppy. I really appreciate your feedback and will contact Catalina ASAP
