This is my first aquarium ever and I have it for hmm... about a year now I guess. I made a topic on it before, but since it came such a long way in a year, I guess it deserves a new one :D

I'll make a more detailed list of filter, lighting and soil in a few hours :D

Filtration:
Internal bluewave 03 filter

Light:
3x24W T5 with 6500K bulbs and reflectors

Substrate:
Tropica plant substrate and black gravel

Plants:
glossostigma elanoides
ludwigia rubin
hygrophila polysperma
pogostemon erectus
pogostemon helferi
limnophila aromatica

Fishes:
20x Paracheirodon innesi
5x Otocinclus affinis
3x Pelvicachromis pulcher (2x female 1xmale)

Currently not running any co2, since my yeast mixture made my bottle cap explode into the air:icon_eek:... I have to get a cheramic difuser that's good with DIY co2 since the one I have atm isn't any good:mad:

I'm looking forward to any tips of aquascaping I could make to take this layout even further :D

Awesome looking tank! Maybe add some rotala macrandra to give some more contrasting colors? For instance the aromatica on the right could be replaced with a very bloodred plant. Once your plants grow and you can make the bushes thicker, though, this tank is going to be phenomenal regardless of color (with some good shaping).

The problem is I have never been able to achieve deep red coloration... I'm not sure if it's my lights or anything else. Ludwigia rubin can be blood red, but it's not in my tank...:icon_cry:

I also have trouble achieving dense growth, because normally the bottom leaves just die off, is this because of slow growth?

Great looking tank! I really like the layout. As far as denser growth I have heard that trimming and time will train most plants to give a bushy look. Good Luck and keep us posted!

It's not really a problem geting the busy look, but the thing is that when i have a dense bush, the bottom leaves start to fall off due to no light... So my growth probably isn't good/fast enough to keep a busy look without the bottoms looking like [censored][censored][censored][censored]

love that female, seems like she is full. my pair of kribs, just had their first fry last week. check them out, there is a link in my signature. kribs are awesome fish!!!

Haha yeah I doubt though since my male is still very young and smaller then the females... I just think I feed them good and shes one fat b***h haha
