Just found thus guy when I was rescaping, I have no idea where it's from though. Never bought one like this so might have come in on plants or something?

yeah. Really hard to see the shrimp itself, just see some stripes and a silhouette.

Are you able to shine a flashlight on it and then take a pic?

I can't try tomorrow. It's that color in really life tho which is odd, it's like charcoal lol

I've never seen a black cherry have full vertical stripes like that though.

Possibilities are:
Ninja shrimp or Malayan Shrimp

Ninja shrimp. Stripes look the same. That's the darkest one I have ever seen.

Hmmmm interesting. Is there a reason he so dark? Should I get something to lighten him up?

They're known for changing colors when they want to. So perhaps he is matching your hardscape or substrate. They live in freshwater and can breed, but need saltwater for the low order shrimp babies to survive.
