What snails hide during the day?
I know that Malaysian Trumpet snails usually hide in the gravel all day, but is there another type that does also? I have a 10 gallon tank divided 3 ways for my bettas and I have two nerite snails, but in the section where I don't have a nerite, there are little trails going through the algae on the glass on the side of the tank. I saw one pond snail on the opposite side of the tank one night after I put in some new plants (I haven't seen it since) and last night I discovered a tiny ramshorn snail in my fanwort, but I've never seen a snail on the glass besides my nerites in another section of the tank. Is there another type of snail that only comes out at night or could there also be Malaysian trumpet snails in my tank?

Can your Nerite get up and over the dividers? Mine climbs all the way up out of the water line all the time.

No, they can't- the cover of the tank touches the top of the dividers. Also, the trails through the algae are much smaller than the ones my nerites make.

Snails can be sneaky and hard to see when they are reproducing.
