Please need help asap!!

Hi everybody I am new to this but have always look and read forum on here and I need help. I recently heal from the flu and just got back on my feet and yesterday when I was cleaning my tank I notice my Gold Nugget Pleco had a big white fuzzy cotton thing on the top on body right next to his dorsal fin. He is very active still and is eating. I have check the water perimeter and is it all fine. My lfs told me it might be a fungus infection from a wound so I been treating me tank with kordon rid fungus since yesterday. Does any one know if it is a fungus infection if not what is it and what I can do to help? Thank you very much

Hi Fishforlife,

Without a good picture it is hard to verify the LFS diagnosis but it sounds like fungus. I have not used Kordon Rid Fungus but when I had a bad fungus infection in a Corydoras API Melafix did a good job. I do not recommend mixing medications.

Doesn't look like columnaris to me.

I wasn't sure, which is why I found a link to a disease and treatment chart.

Thank you everyone I am really hoping it is a normal fungal infection and the kordon rid fungus works
